Curriculum Enhancement Week

Last week we had Curriculum Enhancement Week with all students experiencing an array of activities. Students have thoroughly enjoyed their week and are going to be writing about their acitivities fully in the next article of the DGGS Times. One Year 7 student wrote a sneak preview about her trip to Port Lymnpe Reserve. She said:

For our Curriculum Enhancement Day, we were able to go to Port Lympne in Kent. It was amazing! There were so many wonderful animals to see and interesting activities to do, some of which included; listening to a talk about primates, a shop where we were able to buy souvenirs from the trip (rings, key chains, teddies, toys and a lot more!) My favourite part of the trip was definitely our safari ride! We saw many animals such as lions, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, gorillas, ostriches and a lot more! It was incredible to see them up close! Whilst we were driving, we also listened to an explanation about each and every animal in which I learnt a lot of their characteristics and diets, as well as their similarities and differences.
