Virtual Sports Day 2020

The ongoing circumstances around Covid-19 has not stopped us from hosting our annual Sports Day this year, however it was with a few changes. We were unable to be together at Dartford Grammar for Girls School this year, but it has not stopped us from being active and competing in a variety of events.

Events this year were designed so everyone could compete with minimal equipment needed, all elements of fitness were accounted for from stamina to coordination and we were also able to allow the community to demonstrate their individual talents.

Uniquely this year, students had the opportunity to participate in a range of virtual PE sessions led by their PE Teachers ranging from cheerleading, pilates and tennis related fitness and skills. In the afternoon, students represented their houses and participated in a traditional athletics sports day with a twist! Students had the opportunity to win points for their houses through the completion of a number of activities, with added bonus points based on their overall finishing position.

We wholeheartedly hope that everyone enjoyed taking part and embracing this year's Sports Day in less than ideal circumstances.

Thank you to our families at home, it is great to see families and households be so supportive of our students and staff.
