Creative Day 2020
World Environment is marked globally on June 5th every year and this year we decided to raise awareness in our school community by participating in a Creative Day. Annually, the day offers an opportunity to engage everyone worldwide with the aim of raising awareness and inspiring positive change to protect the world in which we live. In order to mark the day this year, students at DGGS were set a range of Creative Challenges. The theme for 2020 was biodiversity and students responded to a variety of tasks during the school day, submitting their entries online.
The Arts and Technology Faculty were overwhelmed with entries and impressed by the high standard and quality of the work produced. The departments in the Arts and Technology Faculty selected a winner per key stage for each of the tasks and then an overall winner from those entries. The overall winners will be receiving a certificate and prize for their achievements and these will be posted home as soon as possible. Once we return to school and are able to gather for an assembly, we will be celebrating the entries and winners in person.
