Government Performance Tables - Exceptional GCSE Progress in 2019

We are delighted to be able to confirm that we have been ranked exceptionally highly in the provisional Government Performance Tables released yesterday. For the GCSE 2019 Progress 8 score**, DGGS achieved the highest score in Kent (for both selective and non-selective schools), and we are also higher than all schools in Bexley, Bromley and Medway.
When compared to the 6489 secondary schools in England, we are placed 28th. This is a truly superb achievement.

(**This score shows how much progress students at this school made between the end of key stage 2 and the end of key stage 4, compared to students across England who got similar results at the end of key stage 2. This is based on results in up to 8 qualifications, which include English, maths, 3 English Baccalaureate subjects, including sciences, computer science, history, geography and languages, and 3 other additional subjects)

Whilst this is excellent for the school community as a whole, most importantly it means that students individually achieve extremely well at DGGS, thus opening so many doors for their future
