Success at the Kent area finals of the Young Enterprise Public Speaking competition!
The Kent Area finals of the Young Enterprise Public Speaking competition took place at Northfleet School for Girls on 10th February 2016. Amy Vousden again represented the company Zeus for DGGS against six other schools, each of which was a winner in their finals. The competition was fierce with excellent speeches and much passion across all the competitors, each of which had to speak for seven minutes in front of a wider audience than they were used to.
I may be a little biased, but Amy electrified both the atmosphere and the audience with her speech about the fashion industry, models, and body image. Amy showed confidence and humour as she spoke and interacted with the audience. She also impressed the judges – Amy won the competition! This is the first time we have won at this level. She will now proceed through to the regional finals to be held in May.
Congratulations Amy and we wish you the best of luck!
