Free School Meals

How do parents/carers apply for free school meals?

For a child to be entitled to receive free school meals, the parent/carer should normally be in receipt of a benefit such as Income Support or Child Tax Credit. A complete list of benefits is included on the application forms.

We run a cashless catering system in school. For students in receipt of free school meals, the money is automatically uploaded to their account on a daily basis for them to spend in the canteen.

Being in receipt of Free School Meals can also entitle the student to other financial support, for example with educational resources.
